Vermont Law School has dropped from its perennial No. 1 ranking in the U.S. News & World Reportlist of the country’s top environmental law programs after holding the spot for 10 consecutive years (Greenwire, March 20, 2018).

This year, Lewis & Clark Law School and Pace University are tied for the top spot. Vermont Law School dropped to fourth on the list.

Portland, Ore.-based Lewis & Clark ranked second last year and has consistently been near the top of the list. The school runs the Earthrise Law Center, International Environmental Law Project and an environmental moot court program.

Pace University, based in White Plains, N.Y., moved up compared with last year.

The University of California, Berkeley, moved up to third. And UCLA tied Vermont Law School for fourth.

Columbia University and Harvard University tied for sixth.
