Renewables challenge New England gas rules

The renewables energy industry on Tuesday filed a complaint with FERC, alleging that the New England grid operator’s market rules unfairly favor gas generators during winter peak conditions. Such policies disadvantage renewables and create higher costs for customers, according to the complaint filed by trade group American Clean Power and renewable energy nonprofit RENEW Northeast.
