Offshore wind backers predict expanded offshore wind leasing could generate $2.7 billion to $4.5 billion in revenue for the federal government and $120 billion in clean energy investments in the coming decades. It could also create between 73,000 and 128,000 construction jobs, plus anywhere from 28,000 to 48,000 jobs in operations, maintenance roles, the supply chain and the local community.

The report came from the American Clean Power Association, which co-sponsored it with ACP-California, the National Ocean Industries Association, the New York Offshore Wind Alliance, RENEW Northeast, Inc., The Southeastern Wind Coalition, and The Special Initiative on Offshore Wind.
