Growing number of Americans believe in warming — poll

There remains a wide partisan gap in the way Americans view global warming, the survey found. The results suggest that 90 percent of Democrats and 50 percent of Republicans see evidence of climate change. The 40-percentage-point margin is tied for the widest partisan divide in the survey’s history.

DOE to seek comments on critical power infrastructure

The Department of Energy will soon publish proposed regulations outlining how it plans to “receive, hold and share” critical electricity infrastructure information from utilities, a senior DOE official said yesterday. The new rules are necessary as a complement to the Trump administration’s efforts to focus on maintaining and improving the resilience of the nation’s bulk power and distributions systems.
