Governors' Wind Energy Coalition

Dong Energy has officially opened its North American headquarters in Boston in Massachusetts.

The Danish utility has a 50:50 partnership with Eversource Energy to develop the 1GW Bay State offshore wind farm proposed off the coast of the US state.

Dong’s focus is on developing the offshore generation and transmission assets, while Eversource will develop and construct the onshore grid links.

Both companies expect first power from the project in the early 2020s.
